The Spido has been around for more than a hundred years. The company was founded in 1919 as the first organized passenger service in the port of Rotterdam. The Spido was used to pick up crews from ships and bring them ashore. Before the Spido, the crew of seagoing ships often had to wait a long time before they could go ashore in the city.
