Description

From the Kunsthal you will see a large monumental red beech (Fagus sylvatica 'Atropurpureum') on the Koningin Emmaplein on the other side of the Westzeedijk. This square was built between 1888 and 1891. The red beech was also planted at that time. || Here you will find Augmented Reality -> read further below ||

The monumental houses make Koningin Emmaplein a beautiful ensemble of architecture and greenery.

Did you know?

Just like plants at home, trees also need sufficient nutrients. For example, at home you put a pokon block in it, but how do you do that with a tree from 1888? View the hologram (Augmented Reality) and tree doctor Ronald Loch explains it to you.

Augmented Reality
This location contains Augmented Reality (AR +). With the help of the app and your camera we can show things that are normally not visible. Click on the AR + symbol in the app at the top right. Our guide Mussie (red bird) appears and will fly to the exact location where you will find the AR +. At this location tree doctor Ronald Loch will tell you a story as a hologram.

Where do you start the AR +?
Walk towards the center of the lawn in front of the large tree. Look towards the tree and click on the AR + symbol. Here the tree doctor will show you something underground.
