  •

    Coffee withCafé Loos

Start the day at Café Loos on the historic Veerhaven for a nice cup of coffee with a real Rotterdam apple pie. If you are traveling by car, it is best to park it under the Erasmus Bridge. You can also take tram 7 and get off at the Westplein stop. Inside it is super cozy and relaxing, and the terrace is lovely, with a view over the boats in the harbor.

  • Along the Veerhaven to the Euromast

Ready with coffee or tea? Then certainly walk from the terrace (1 min) just past the Veerhaven, which you can already see from the terrace. A beautiful historic harbor with old boats and a beautiful harbor guard's house. Stately mansions surround the harbor. Walk a little further towards the river and you have a beautiful view of the 'Manhattan' of Rotterdam: the Kop van Zuid.

If you walk through the park you can easily reach the Euromast, which is not to be missed. The 185 meter high watchtower is definitely a MUST SEE. Take the revolving Euroscope upwards for an astonishing view. Time for some nice pictures of Rotterdam and of course a selfie.

  • Ride with the Water taxi

When you're done with the view, you're probably hungry, so quickly to a place where you can have a delicious lunch! At the foot of the Euromast you have to cross for a while towards the water, where you can see the Berenboot. To the right of it you see a bright yellow jetty. This is the Watertaxi stop.

Call 010 403 03 03 and say that you are at the Euromast. A super fast boat will be waiting for you in no time. Ask the water taxi to sail to Hotel New York.

  • Have lunch at Hotel New York

At Hotel New York you can enjoy lunch on the terrace in the sun. For local and organic food you just cross the Rijnhaven Bridge, direction Katendrecht. This former red-light district is now one of the trendiest neighborhoods in Rotterdam. You can eat well in the Phoenix warehouse or on the Deliplein. You will also find the best Thai in Rotterdam on the Deliplein: Deli Bird. Maybe a nice tip for tonight!

  • Laurenskerk, Cube houses and Market hall

When you're done with lunch, it's time for some Rotterdam MUST SEE locations! First we take the Watertaxi again, this time towards Boompjes. Get out of here, walk up the quay (don't forget to turn around and enjoy the view) and you can already see the Markthal at the top of the quay: a real must-see in Rotterdam. If you like tasty Italian wines, have a wine at Fellini. You can enjoy good food in the middle of the hall at Obba, a mix of all kinds of cultures.

You can also visit the Cube Houses opposite the hall. From the inside, you only pay 3 euros, and a ticket is ordered digitally. On the same square as the Markthal and the Cube Houses you will find the Laurenskerk. One of the few buildings that survived the bombing in World War II.

  • After sightseeing a moment Settle down

After you have seen all kinds of Rotterdam MUST SEE locations you can do two things. Nice drink and snack at the Oude Haven (easy to reach via the Cube Houses). This area is especially popular with students. On the other side of the water you will also find the best cocktail bar in the Netherlands (2018) Noah and slightly more fancy restaurant MOOII.

You can also go to Witte de Withstraat from the Markthal. Public transport is not the most convenient solution here - it is better to walk, via Hoogstraat for example. Witte de Withstraat is the mecca for top wine bars, delicious food and of course shawarma! Do you like tasty wines, bubbles and fun? Then go to wine bar Het Eigendom.

Call our name and maybe you will get a glass of wine from the house! More in the mood for special beers? Opposite the wine bar is Bierboutique. A gin and tonic lover? Walk a little further into the street and go to Ballroom with no less than 162 different gins! For a cocktail you go to Spikizi and for a dance to Café de Witte aap or NRC. They are both very popular with tourists.
